Yoga

I took my first yoga lesson nearly 30 years ago at the community center in Seattle’s U-District.

स तु दीर्घकाल नैरन्तर्य सत्कारा असेवितो दृढभूमि

At first I did not practice with constancy and devotion, but that has bloomed, along with a greater understanding that yoga is about more than just trying to get your foot behind your head.

I am an RYT-200 and have completed two 200 hour trainings, the first in 2016 at Namaste in California’s Bay Area, and the second in 2023 at Etowah Valley Yoga in Cartersville, Georgia, where I currently teach.

I value the opportunity to share and practice deep attentiveness and non-judgment.

Every week I teach:

  • Warm Yin at 8:45 am on Fridays

Every other week I teach:

  • Warm, Slow Flow at 10 am on Mondays

Once a month I teach:

  • Level I / II at Noon on Wednesdays
  • Warm, Gentle Yoga at Noon on Fridays

I have experience leading the following workshops:

  • 2 Hour Yin & Yoga Nidra
  • Shoulderstand & Plow

I’m also available for private lessons or to teach at your workplace. Please get in touch with me at emilyweak AT gmail
